Here in the West, we have a long and proud history of protecting and preserving our public lands and natural resources. We understand that we have an obligation to be responsible stewards of our land, and maintain public access not just for ourselves -- but for our children, grandchildren, and all future generations to enjoy.
Not only are these millions of acres of public land a critical part of our western heritage, they support millions of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue and business nationwide. These public lands are critical to our economy.
But with extremists moving to try and put these public lands in private hands, that heritage is at risk, and so is the economic development that comes with responsible stewardship of our public lands. We cannot allow our public lands to be locked up, sold off, or only accessible to the wealthy few. Jon Tester, Tom Udall, Michael Bennet and Catherine Cortez Masto are working hard to ensure that America’s public lands stay in public hands, where they belong. Sign the petition below to join them.
Members of Congress:
I firmly believe that we have a duty to preserve and protect our public lands. We have a right to enjoy our outdoor spaces, and not have them locked up, sold off, or only accessible to the wealthy few. Keep public lands in public hands!
